Personal Freestyle Roller Skating Lessons. Pick your skills. Book your time. Own the rink.
Why follow a rigid class schedule? At Skatelesson.net, we put you in control. Whether you want to master the moonwalk, nail your transitions, or just get comfortable on eight wheels, we provide the expert guidance to get you there.
Important Note: I am an independent instructor. Skatelesson.net is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Laurel Skating Center, Lanham Skate Center or Sk8Zone. Please remember to pay your rink admission separately!
Check the skills you want to focus on during our session. We can mix and match to build your perfect 30 or 60-minute lesson.
The Basics: Proper stance, stopping (T-stop/Plow), and falling safely.
Flow & Control: Crossovers, backward skating, and smooth transitions.
Freestyle Moves: The Moonwalk, Grapevine, Downtown, and Zero-knocks.
Technical Skills: Inner/Outer edge control and spin foundations.
Fitness Flow: Cardio-focused skating routines to burn calories while you glide.
Freestyle skating involves movement that can be unpredictable. To ensure you stay on the floor and out of the ER, we highly recommend the "Big Four" protective gear for all levels:
Helmet (The most important!)
Wrist Guards (To catch your falls)
Knee Pads
Elbow Pads
Safety is a choice. Choosing to wear gear helps you push your limits with confidence.
Lessons are available during public session hours at these rinks.
Laurel Skating Center (Laurel, MD)
Sk8Zone (Odenton, MD)
Lanham Skate Center (Lanham, MD)
Our Rule: To ensure quality instruction, I only book one skater at a time. Once a slot is taken, it’s gone! I also maintain a 60-minute travel buffer between rinks, so your lesson never feels rushed.
Legal & Liability
By booking a lesson, you agree to our Liability Waiver and recognize that all disputes shall be settled via binding arbitration in Harford County, Maryland.
